Jillian Mastroianni Speaks at Murfeesboro Estate Planning Council

Jillian Mastroianni was the featured speaker at the August 16 meeting of the Murfreesboro Estate Planning Council.  Jillian led a discussion on updates in the law of probate and estate planning and offered tips and best practices. The Council consists of Murfreesboro-area attorneys, trust advisors, and other professionals who focus on estate planning matters.

Mastroianni focuses her practice on estate planning, real estate law, and business entities.

Six DPBC Attorneys Listed in 2018 Best Lawyers in America Publication

Six Dodson Parker lawyers were recently selected by their peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2018.  Harlan Dodson, Margaret L. Behm, Donald Capparella, Tyler Chance Yarbro, Miranda Christy, and Michael B. Bressman were each recognized by the national publication.

The firm’s attorneys were recognized for their work in multiple practice areas including Commercial Litigation, Employment Law and Litigation, Corporate Law, Municipal Law, Non-Profit/Charities, Trademark Law, Insurance Law, Personal Injury Litigation, Appellate Practice, Real Estate Law, and Commercial Transactions/UCC Law.

Additionally, Donald Capparella was named the 2018 Best Lawyers® Lawyer of the Year for Appellate Practice in the Metro Nashville area.  Each year since 2014 he has received a “Lawyer of the Year” designation from the organization.

Capparella Presents CLE to benefit Nashville Shakespeare Festival.

On August 9, Donald Capparella presented another installment of his popular Continuing Legal Education Seminar on ethics to benefit the Nashville Shakespeare Festival. The CLE featured professional actors from the internationally-renowned Nashville Shakespeare Festival. Actors re-enacted scenes from some of Shakespeare’s plays to bring to life some of the most famous ethical dilemmas, which can still arise in today’s legal environment. Area lawyers who attended were challenged to apply the modern Rules of Professional Conduct to the timeless ethical quandaries presented by “the Bard.”

The CLE was presented at Cumberland University in Lebanon. Capparella is pictured with Travenia Holden of Holden Law Offices and Nashville-based actor Brian Russell.

 

Parker Featured Speaker at “Estate Administration Bootcamp”

Paul S. Parker served as a featured speaker for the August 8, 2017 National Business Institute seminar in Nashville.

The “Estate Administration Bootcamp” event was designed for attorneys, trust officers, accountants, and financial planners.   Parker addressed matters such as tax returns for estates, portability of exemptions, and possible changes to the GST.

Parker practices in the areas of tax, estate planning, and probate.

Capparella, Christy Lead CLE Benefiting Nashville Shakespeare Festival

Donald Capparella and Miranda Christy led a continuing legal education presentation of “A Comedy of Ethics” on May 26 at the HCA Auditorium in Nashville.   Judge Joseph A. Woodruff of the 21st Judicial District joined Capparella, Christy, and performers from the internationally-renowned Nashville Shakespeare Festival in exploring William Shakespeare’s most notorious ethical challenges.

The event was sponsored by Dodson Parker Behm & Capparella, PC and HCA.  Proceeds benefited the the Nashville Shakespeare Festival.
