Dodson Parker Included on Best Lawyers® – U.S. News 2018 “Best Law Firms” List for Metro Nashville Area

U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers have announced their 2018 “Best Law Firms” rankings. According to the publications, the “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process.

Dodson Parker Behm & Capparella, PC received rankings in eleven different practice areas for the Metro Nashville Area, with “Tier 1” rankings in Appellate Practice, Employment- individuals, Employment – management, Insurance Law, and Non-Profit/Charities Law.  View the firm’s complete rankings here.

Firm’s Pro Bono Service Honored by Tennessee Supreme Court

The Tennessee Supreme Court held its annual “Attorneys for Justice” Middle Tennessee awards ceremony at Belmont University College of Law on October 18, 2017.  The event recognizes lawyers, law students, and law firms for achievements in pro bono service.

Dodson Parker attorneys Margaret L. Behm, Donald Capparella, Candi Henry, and Tyler Chance Yarbro have each been named 2017 Attorneys for Justice based upon their pro bono service during the calendar year 2016.  The firm as a whole also received recognition for the fourth year in a row, reflecting an average of more than 50 hours of pro bono service per attorney in the firm.

 

Six DPBC Attorneys Listed in 2018 Best Lawyers in America Publication

Six Dodson Parker lawyers were recently selected by their peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2018.  Harlan Dodson, Margaret L. Behm, Donald Capparella, Tyler Chance Yarbro, Miranda Christy, and Michael B. Bressman were each recognized by the national publication.

The firm’s attorneys were recognized for their work in multiple practice areas including Commercial Litigation, Employment Law and Litigation, Corporate Law, Municipal Law, Non-Profit/Charities, Trademark Law, Insurance Law, Personal Injury Litigation, Appellate Practice, Real Estate Law, and Commercial Transactions/UCC Law.

Additionally, Donald Capparella was named the 2018 Best Lawyers® Lawyer of the Year for Appellate Practice in the Metro Nashville area.  Each year since 2014 he has received a “Lawyer of the Year” designation from the organization.

Four Dodson Parker Attorneys Named to TBA Pro Bono Honor Roll

The Tennessee Bar Association released its 2016 Pro Bono Honor Roll on January 1, 2017.  Four Dodson Parker attorneys were recognized for providing volunteer services.  Margaret L. Behm, Michael B. Bressman,  Candi Henry, and Elizabeth Sitgreaves  were each named to the Tennessee Bar Association’s 2016 Pro Bono Honor Roll.  Being named to the list reflects that an attorney has volunteered for one of several Tennessee pro bono programs.

Tennessee Supreme Court Recognizes Firm for Pro Bono Service

Belmont University College of Law hosted the Tennessee Supreme Court’s Celebrate Pro Bono event on October 25, recognizing attorneys, law students, and organizations in the state for their pro bono service. Dodson Parker Behm & Capparella was honored for the third year in a row for its firm-wide pro bono service.

Four DPBC Attorneys Named to Legal Aid “Attorney Honor Roll”; Firm Acknowledged as “Leadership Cabinet”

The Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands recently released its annual report for the year 2015, and four Dodson Parker Attorneys have been named to the organization’s “Attorney Honor Roll.”  The designation recognizes their pro bono service in volunteering for the organization.

In addition, Dodson Parker Behm & Capparella, PC was proud to be part of the Legal Aid Society’s Leadership Cabinet for 2015, representing the firm’s financial commitment to the 2015 Campaign for Equal Justice, for which Margaret L. Behm served as 2015 Campaign Chair.  The campaign–the most successful in the organization’s history–collected more than $820,000 to help Legal Aid continue to provide free legal services to those in need.

 

Four Dodson Parker Attorneys Named to TBA “Pro Bono Honor Roll”

The Tennessee Bar Association has announced its 2015 Pro Bono Honor Roll, recognizing attorneys who volunteered with clinics and other Tennessee pro bono programs.

DPBC attorneys Michael Bressman, Candi Henry, Elizabeth Sitgreaves, and Tyler Yarbro were each named to the list.  Henry has been named to the list each year since 2011, and Yarbro has been included since 2012.

Firm Recognized by Nashville Bar Association for Wellness Initiative

Step Up to the Bar CertificateAt the Nashville Bar Association’s Annual Meeting and Banquet on December 3, 2015, the Attorney Health & Wellness Committee recognized law firms that had completed the Committee’s “Step Up to the Bar 10,000 Step Challenge.”  The competition asked attorneys and staff members to aim for a goal of 10,000 steps per day during the month of November.  Dodson Parker was among the firms whose attorneys and staff members participated, and the firm logged 3,132,235 steps in the month–or about 130 miles walked per person.

Dodson Parker Named to U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Law Firms” List for Metro Nashville Area

Dodson Parker Behm & Capparella, PC has been ranked by U.S. News and World Report on its 2016 Best Law Firms list for the Metro Nashville area.  The firm was ranked in eleven practice areas and received a Tier 1 ranking for Insurance Law.

According to U.S. News, the 2016 rankings are based on the highest number of participating firms and highest number of client ballots on record. To be eligible for a ranking, a firm must have a lawyer listed in The Best Lawyers in America, which recognizes the top 4 percent of practicing attorneys in the U.S.

Ranked firms, presented in tiers, are listed on a national and/or metropolitan scale. U.S. News – Best Lawyers states that receiving a tier designation reflects the high level of respect a firm has earned among other leading lawyers and clients in the same communities and the same practice areas for their abilities, their professionalism and their integrity.
