Donald Capparella Honored with John C. Tune Public Service Award by Nashville Bar Association
Donald Capparella was honored with the John C. Tune Public Service Award at Nashville Bar Association’s Annual Banquet December 12, 2024. The John C. Tune award is the highest honor given by the Nashville Bar Association. It is not given annually, only when a person is deserving of the honor.
The Award is given to the Nashville Bar Association member who has shown the highest degree of dedication, not only to their work as a lawyer, but to the betterment of the community. The award recognizes members who make outstanding contributions to the greater Nashville area community while distinguishing themselves as practicing attorneys. Donald founded the Nashville Shakespeare Festival in 1988. The Festival began as a way to bring theater to everyone in Nashville’s community at no charge. The festival continues today still free of charge. Donald remains very active with the Nashville Shakespeare festival from sitting on the board to working the show as a volunteer collecting donations.
Tyler Yarbro, DPBC’s Managing Partner, law partner and close friend of Donald, presented the award to Donald with many members, past and present, of the firm, Nashville Shakespeare Festival, and family present. Donald is the third partner at the firm to receive the award alongside Harlan Dodson and Margaret Behm.
Congratulations on all of your great achievements Donald, in and out of the courtroom!
